I have not yet been able to research any specific stories about this incident, but I am mainly motivated by the pictures. I found TONS of pictures of the Red Cross the morning after - these combined with the picture of the pit, really incredibly fascinate me. I am going to start researching the workers and see if anyone heard their story. This was also highly motivated by that painting: Ludlow Massacre.

Incident: A dusky dawn, scattered with ash, covered in a thick layer of smoke and fear, the Red Cross workers slowly, silently and awfully discover and explore the happenings of the day before.

Moment in Time: The approach to a big, scarred hole in the ground – the discovery of the horror inside.
